Planning your visit to Paris
Paris’s Christmas markets are scattered across several neighbourhoods, so you will not see them all in one day. It is better to pick two or three that are close together, for example Notre-Dame and the Hôtel de Ville on either side of the Seine, and walk between them.
Dates vary a great deal from one market to another: some open at the end of November, others only in December, and several 2026 editions are still to be confirmed by their organisers. This page shows, market by market, what is confirmed and what is not yet; we update it as soon as an official date is published.
The metro is the most practical way to get around: avoid driving in the centre in December. Entry to the markets is free; you only pay for tastings, purchases and rides. For a family outing, choose a weekday afternoon, which is quieter than weekend evenings. On the Saveur Marché map, turn on the Christmas filter to see at a glance which markets are open around you.
